Professor Sedlak's research focuses on fate of chemical contaminants, with the long-term goal of developing cost-effective, safe, and sustainable systems to manage water resources. He is particularly interested in the development of local sources of water.
Korneel Rabaey is professor at the Center for Microbial Ecology and Technology (CMET), Department of Biotechnology at Ghent University as well as honorary professor at The University of Queensland. Prof. Rabaey's main research efforts are on resource recovery from wastewater, decentralized treatments, industrial liquid sidestreams and CO2 streams from industry.
